Enamel Craftsman: Mitsuru Yokosawa
For nearly half a century, Mitsuru Yokosawa has been pushing the boundaries of enamel work, mastering ancient techniques and gradually creating new ones. As his expertise grew, the layers of enamel he was able to apply became thinner and thinner. Today, he can apply a flawless layer of enamel just 0.1 mm thick. Such precision requires not only exceptional visual acuity, but also the seemingly magical ability to make subtle adjustments to the composition of the enamel based on fluctuations in humidity and atmospheric conditions. Creating the dial of the new Seiko Presage requires the skill of a magician.
