This limited edition of Seiko SRPH61K1 captures the might of the Japanese naval forces called "Suigun". In the island nation of Japan, the Suiguns who lived in the coastal areas had been active as soldiers on the water since ancient times, playing an important role in maritime safety and trade. The color scheme of the dial is inspired by the "Shu-iro", a vermilion-colored lacquered armor used by naval forces. It was said that by wearing this red, the most eye-catching color on the battlefield, you would prove to be brave and valiant and that this courage could inspire your entire troop. In this limited edition of 3,500 pieces, "Shu-iro" is used for the entire dial creating a powerful effect on the wrist. The case shape is nicknamed by Seiko fans 'King Samurai' - due to its angular lines. The upper part of the case and lugs are made up of sharp surfaces, as if they had been cut with a sword, while the structure of the case evokes the armor of the Samurai. The mesh pattern on the side of the bezel captures the diamond motifs of the hilt of a Japanese sword.
The watch is delivered complete with its official kit: box and international guarantee.
